Granted, I’m not fluent in advertising jargon, but it looks to me like this “special advertising pullout” in the Richmond Times-Dispatch yesterday—sent to us by a tipster— came, sort of, pre-pulled-out (the blue banner directs readers to “see inside for today’s complete Times-Dispatch”):
Maybe you don’t get worked up about newspapers with ad-engulfed and ad-sprinkled front pages anymore. What about front page news-ads that announce week-old news? According to the Times-Dispatch‘s own reporting, Wachovia and Wells Fargo officially “converged” in Virginia last weekend.
