Kirk Johnson of the New York Times is still combing the empty stadium this morning, looking for those elusive swing voters long after the game has ended.

Poring over exit polls, what he comes up with is … Hispanics, who gave President Bush 44 percent of their vote this time around, up more than 10 percentage points over 2000. Specifically, culturally conservative Roman Catholic Hispanics.

Ummm. Hmmmmm. Cough. Ahem.
