Say WHAT??

Our favorite almost-comic moment of last night’s cable coverage of the Iowa caucuses came when a breathless Judy Woodruff on CNN declared that a Kerry victory would be “one of the great political stories of this decade” . . . just minutes before Pat Caddell over on MSNBC was playing the grouch who came to the picnic, dismissing Iowa as meaningless and declaring that New Hampshire always turns Iowa on its head.

Pity the poor viewer trying to form a coherent picture in his brain from those two contrasting over-simplifications.
