Masrat Zahra is a photojournalist who is currently a visiting scholar and instructor at the University of Missouri School of Journalism. Forced into exile due to the challenges she faced while documenting life in Indian-occupied Kashmir, she was recently a Knight Wallace Fellow and the recipient of the IWMF’s Anja Niedringhaus Courage in Photojournalism Award and the Peter Mackler Award for Ethical and Courageous Journalism.
