In a scandal made to be mocked, Stewart and staff deliver

Say this about Spitzergate: at least it happened after the writers’ strike ended.

On last night’s Daily Show, Jon Stewart captured the media’s voracious glee in devouring the scandal, while Rob Riggle, ever the rhetorician, mocked the widely adopted euphemism of Spitzer’s being “linked to” a prostitution ring. Rounding off the coverage, Samantha Bee poked fun at the insulting Role of the Spouse in political scandal. (“If anything, let the hooker stand up there,” Bee said. “She’s the one everyone wants to see.”) Enjoy!
