There’s no time stamp to indicate when it went up, but The Washington Post has now officially acknowledged that it ”unpublished” the infamous video in which Dana Milbank and Chris Cillizza’s suggested Hillary Clinton drink “Mad Bitch” beer. The following line now runs across the top of the “Mouthpiece Theater” home page at the Post’s site:
Editors Note: The July 31 episode of the “Mouthpiece Theater” video series contained material that was inappropriate for The Post’s website, and the video has been removed.
The same line also now appears on screen at the opening of the latest “Mouthpiece” video—a wise move, because as the “Mad Bitch” episode showed, the Post can’t control where video it produces ends up.
Update, 2:53 p.m.: And now the series has been killed, Howie Kurtz reports.
Update 2, 3:10 p.m.: Cillizza has a thoughtful post on the episode at his blog, The Fix.
