A brief item in our May/June issue described how Kunda Dixit, the editor of the weekly newspaper the Nepali Times, used photojournalism to document the consequences of a decade-long conflict between Maoist guerrillas and state forces in his home country. The slideshow below offers a longer look at some of the remarkable photos Dixit collected, and the way he used the images to try to shape a new dialogue in Nepal.
While the war in Nepal has now come to an end, journalists reporting on the country’s tumultuous politics face a new challenge, in the form of pressure from criminal gangs and rival political groups.
